As we come to the end of another year, we wanted to offer you a brief snapshot of the GICS membership as it stands today.
We count just over 1,100 individuals and 49 organizations as members. GICS members represent 64 countries, and that number is growing! Over 20% of our membership is from the U.S and the next most represented country is Nigeria which includes 11% of our members. Please see the chart for additional details.
GICS membership comprises 47% High-Income Countries and 54% Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Our membership is made up of Physicians, Nurses, Midwives, and Students. As we look to 2023 we will be encouraging more organizational membership and we will look to see how we can be inclusive of other types of practitioners.
