GICS has been collaborating with the Surgery for People project in Nicaragua – a joint Ministry of Health and Operation Smile project whose mission is to bring surgical services closer to rural communities in Nicaragua. GICS performed a baseline assessment in July 2017 and has since supported monitoring and evaluation of key surgical indicators and provided strategic support for project implementation.
